It is the last day before my part time job starts again. I have savored the time off. The sewing room has been used continually. My brain has gone into overdrive creative mode. I do not have enough energy or time to do all that I want to do. And I am loving it all!
Some of my Christmas decorations are out and we have enjoyed Christmas lights every evening. We are excited about our Christmas journey to visit grandkids. Life is good.

I went to Canada yesterday with Jeannie B to get andirons that we’d ordered from the stove shop. No delays either way! That was a surprise since all last week there were long lines. We also went to the dollar store…the best one I’ve ever seen…for a few things. Lunch was Chinese, her treat and one of her favorites! The trip brought me home exhausted but thrilled to get the new pieces for the stove.
I was unable to install them so I had to wait untilDH got home. he did a thorough cleaning because he had to take the front piece apart for the installation. Boy, was the air intake clogged up. This morning my house is back to cozy mode!
I am hoping to locate and set up my nativity scene today as well as gather the gifts and label the mailing boxes.
Oh and yesterday we went into a local gift shop. Jeannie B pushed my products since the shopkeeper had some hand made totes for sale at an exorbitant price. She asked me to bring some in for her to choose from. Go figure!

Since I now have a clean sewing room I am inspired! I made two totes this morning and then when Tee called I put together a gift bag for Ryan. I am so happy with the results! DH asked if I was done for today and I had to say, “I don’t know.” Sis stopped by with some tollhouse pie for me…yum!

I thought I’d make a large sized tote bag for my SIL ’s birthday. I had paper pieced some chickadees and thought they would work well in this bag and they did!

We have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Its been quiet and restful. Talked to A, Z, J and K. Got an Email from T and talked to N yesterday. Can’t beat that!
I have so many things to be thankful for:
First and foremost, a wonderful Savior who loves and cares for me .
2. My very terrific husband who is everchanging and always surprising me with his resourcefulness and rye humor.
3. All six of my kids, grown and flown but still connected. Each in his or her own way very special.
4. Eleven grand kids. How I love ‘em.
5. In-law kids, chosen by my kids, you gotta love ‘em.
6. My two “jeans” cheering me on, keeping me sane.
7. A cozy home, wood heat, enough.
8. Time…to do the things I love to do.

I am moving the sewing room again from the small room to the blue room. I needed more space for my winter projects and the blue room also has better light. I enjoy the moving process because I rediscover things I forgot I had! I really enjoy having a bright place to sew and like having the heat from the chimney adding heat to the already warm room.
We are relaxing this evening waiting for the Stromboli to be done. Yum, I can smell it .

DH has made a cozy home for me. The woodstove is delightful and throws great heat. I am so thankful for it.
DH had a rough night. We were up at three AM making tea and taking meds. He got to sleep finally and was able to go to work. I’ll be glad when he recovers so he can get back to doing the things he wants to do.
I finished a Christmas table runner today and really like how it came out. Now I have a couple more things to finish.
