July 2007

Off to Calais to try to get the last address and have lunch with Missus B. We have such fun together. I did some shopping that I needed to do. And came back to the address only to find that no one was around. So..home again for cleaning and a quick visit to a neighbor. Then the new addresses came in for August. I am taking vacation so I expected a light load. Ha..20 cases.  In three counties. Oh well, they know I am taking a vacation. Tomorrow and Thursday I’ll do what I can.

After an 120 mile census trip last night this morning moved very slowly. I did a wash and hung it out in the sunshine. I sorted thru a box of stuff. I cleaned up a portion of the front flower bed. I wondered through my garden. I read a “new” flower book my neighbor gave me. I contemplated! I puttered. Oh the joys of the “lazy bones housewife” life that DH often refers to ! Life is good.

Its cool but then it is not yet 6AM.  I missed afternoon coffee so I woke with a coffee headache. I am working on my first cup now.  I got the chest freezer cleaned yesterday. There was so little in it that it was a good time to do it.  Today I tackle to refrigerator.  I have an appointment at 9AM and will try to get a census address afterwards.  Later in the day I will drive to Aroostook to cleanup the two addresses there.  Wednesday starts the new month so I am being a bit slow here!

I am hoping to et a bit of sewing done in the middle of the day but we’ll see. I also have to work on yard sale stuff for Saturday. I don’t have a lot but I would be glad to get rid of it for a fee!

Coffee, Julie?, originally uploaded by mabeane6.

Julie bought me a beautiful set of four coffee mugs. When she went home we split them. Now when we use the mugs we are reminded of each other and often when drinking the coffee take the time to call each other. What fun!

This is my sister-in-law Julie. She visits the farm a couple of times a year. She’s a sweetheart. We have figured out a way to have coffee together regularly.i

We enjoyed supper guests last night. The folk festival is today and D and J are showing their beautiful screen doors. We knew they would be bushed after setup so we invited them for an “eat and run” supper. We had pulled pork burritos…yum and potato salad as well as some delicious green beans. The fellowship was the best.

Today is misty, moisty and we are both up very early. I suppose that means a nap is in order for the hottest part of the day!
