It works, originally uploaded by mabeane6.

It just needs a bit of tweaking. The idea is good and it moves the boat. Steering still needs some work.

DH did not want to get wet after putting his boat in the water this morning.

They have clinched it..the division. Yippee. I love watching the Sox. They are such a spunky team. And they are a  team! I see them always pulling together and encouraging each other.

The weather has become more seasonal and feels good. I have to work today and it will be easier if its cool.

DH is spoiling to test his new invention in his boatand it looks like today might be the day. He and AK will go to the lake with camera in hand!

Night has fallen and the Red Sox game has begun. The season is almost over and they are doing well. We really enjoy Red Sox evenings together. We had hamburgers for supper spiced up and with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and cheese, Yum!

AK has found housing and expects to to haul her load over to her new digs in DH’s truck on Tuesday AM. She’ll return on the weekend and get her car and whatever else she needs then. I am so proud of her. She had a rough patch but didn’t sit and stew. Instead she just kept putting one foot in front of the other and tried to make good decisions for herself. Here it is not quite two weeks and she has reliable wheels, an inexpensive place to live and a reasonably well paying job.

Autumn has settled in and the trees have turned. These ducks are quacking around the yard.

Collecting the youngsters., originally uploaded by mabeane6.

The big ducks left the pond and showed up to respond to the quacking of the little ducks. When the wind blew down the barrier the little ones came out and followed the big ones all around.

AK and I spent yesterday in Western Maine. She needed to finish her paperwork and get a start date and we needed to find a place for her to live. Happily she has two possibilities and both are less than 5 miles from school. I got to see the area and we found all the important places! Marden’s, Walmart, Hannafords and a good place eat breakfast or lunch!
She starts work next week!
