Sewing room, originally uploaded by mabeane6.

Although I wanted badly to have lunch with my friend in Calais, the price of gas ($3.35) is making me think twice before making that trip. It was hard and every couple of hours I would think of some reason why I needed to go to Calais. But I started cleaning the sewing room and spent all day sorting and tossing, and carrying fabric to the studio storage that I didn’t need right now. It kept me occupied long enough to let the day slip by without my driving 60 miles round trip! The sewing room has been vacuumed and looks terrific. Since 9 to 16 inches of snow are forecast for tomorrow I will probably work in my clean room tomorrow.

I have dough rising for pizza tonight and am looking forward to DH arrival from his late afternoon class.

Lots of snow yesterday gave me cause to scoop and shovel. I hadn’t done any shoveling all winter. DH doesn’t want me to as I really shouldn’t. But yesterday it wasn’t very cold and I did a bit a a time. I shoveled the walkway and scooped out a path to the plowed area. Then I scooped  in front of two garage doors so the hump would not get higher from the snow off the roof! This morning when I got up I looked out the window to admire my work. I laughed out loud. It had snowed in the night and it looked pristine, untouched and like I hadn’t been there at all!

Late in the afternoon DH said, “You want to go for a ride? I need to get a movie for school.”

I dropped what I was doing, put on my coat and we were off. Cabin fever will do that to you.  We hit even movie place from here to Calais and couldn’t find what he was looking for. Never mind supper at the sub shop, good conversation away from the house and getting out lifted my spirits! What a guy!

My neighbor and friend, Robin, also came for coffee and a brownie earlier in the afternoon. She, too has cabin fever and is sick of winter!

I am making lots of special dolls with beautiful clothing. They are soft and warm and great for children to love and care for. They even appeal to “grown-up” girls. Now for my biggest problem. Marketing them. Where? How? Who? When?

Any ideas from anyone would help!

Looks like we got about 8 inches of wet, sticky snow. There is a 2hour school delay.
