Thanks to my brother -in-law I knew how to get into the very low four wheel drive, otherwise I might still be sitting in my jeep at the bottom of an ice covered road next to the lake! Fortunately I was wedged in the snow bank a bit and backed into it so as to have a place from which to move forward back up the hill. I certainly didn’t want to go down any further with the lake looming in front of me. I was about 4 miles from the main road in an area of camps so no help was readily available. I took a deep breath and was able to get the jeep back to the snow covered area in the lowest gear. Whew! That was close.
I am home, exhausted from the ordeal, drinking coffee with my sweet DH and thankful to be home.

Glad you got unstuck! I have been in that situation and I hated it … it’s scary and frustrating. Now that the snow and ice are leaving you shouldn’t have quite as much of a problem.
