This year’s garden, originally uploaded by mabeane6.

Paul is working on getting raised beds in to facilitate earlier planting in the spring.  We can’t get a tractor on the garden (because its wet) until June. With the beds it should mean I can get my spinach, lettuce etc in early.

This is about 4:45AM when I got up to use the bathroom. These guys were busily feasting on the dew laden grass hidden slugs. What a sight!

Here are the broccoli plants I started from Robin’s.

The sun rose very early this morning and the morning light drew me from my bed. My duck “kids” were waddling around the dew dampened back yard looking for grubs and worms. What characters they are. When one finds something the other five chase him around to try and grab it away. They seem to move in unison everywhere they go. They alternate between the big pond and the small pond. Mama duck and babies enjoy having them around.

I did a walk around and took pictures of the flowers and garden and even the ducklings today.

I bought this plant at Walmart. It was sad and bedraggled.  With water and a bit of care it came to life!
