I finally decided that since I’d just about exhausted the library’s books on CD and since it is costly to go back and forth to Calais (62 miles round trip) I would join a ‘books- on- CD -to -rent’ club. Today my first three books showed up with their return envelopes as well. I popped one in and started on the sewing room purge and clean. Listening while I work makes the time very enjoyable.
I was able to get about half of my doll dress/shirts/pinafore material into these totes an onto the shelf. It makes the fabric visible and accessible while not strewn everywhere. Each piece is 1/2 yard and is folded in thirds. I removed two plastic “bureaus” that I have hated from day one. When you opened a drawer you could not close it. I do NOT need frustration in my sewing room! They will go for cheap in the sale.

I finished Simon today., originally uploaded by mabeane6.
I am trying to do the bulk of my doll work in the morning since it is the best part of my day energy wise. He was started yesterday so the fun part ( finishing and dressing) happened this morning.

This morning I woke to rain and was glad. I needed an inside day to get small dolls completed. I also didn’t need to be distracted by the garden. It has been calling me…
After dealing with a couple of calls and getting another dolly mailed to the UK I plunged in.
I am delighted with how Mandy turned out. She is just as sweet as can be. I have put her up for sale here.

These two 16 inch dolls have hair made with several different kinds of yarns. It seems to give it good texture and color. They are for sale here.
