Christmas Means Handmade

It’s been windy and very cold today.
I am tired.  I’ve been working all day to complete a doll order.
Today he needed to have pajamas made.  I love how they came out!

Creativity on the loose

I finished one sweater and started another. These two dolls were willing to model them for me!

Then I went into the barn to collect the eggs from the loose chicken’s nest. However these are not eggs. It seems the cat that has been hanging around has been creative in a different way.

Thomas was cold

The temps dipped to the 40s yesterday and Thomas was cold.  My sister in law briught me some lovely yarn that I needed to use. So…Thomas got a new sweater.  I need to write down my pattern as I had trouble remembering what I’d done last time I made a doll sweater.

Thomas, another waldorf boy doll

I finally finished Thomas, my mischievous redhead!  I found some jeans and repurposed them for his overalls.  They have stretch to them so they are easy to put on and take off. He’s got green eyes and freckles as well.
He’s for sale over at Etsy.

While waiting for tomorrow’s excitement, I finished this doll dress to send off [...]

Doll clothes and other fun things

I finally found some reasonably priced hangers for my extra doll clothes.  I love making them and needed to be able to see what I had!  Doll clothes hangers are very pricey but these kid clothes hanger seem to work.

I  am very happy that I can go to Mardens regularly and get beautiful, quality fabric [...]

Doll clothes and crows

Well its raining again!  So I got busy working up a doll slip pattern that would work with dresses for the Christmas market.  I tweaked and fitted and tweaked some more.  Then I made one and, boy, was I pleased.

Paul put the last of his compost on the corn this afternoon in the rain. The [...]

This and That

This morning I once again heard the loud chirping of our resident chipmunk.  He goes on and on.  I think he thinks someone is interested in what he has to say!

I watched the many hummingbirds fly in and out of the feeder and push each other around.  They are always vying for the best place.

Yesterday [...]
