Is this my mama?

DH took grain to the hen house and discovered that the first duckling had hatched. He quickly moved the kennel into the greenhouse and when I went down a bit later I discovered that four had hatched so far. There are three eggs still in tack but only one looks like a duck egg. we’ll see what happens.

On this very wet and rainy day Henny Penny brought her brood out and let them play in the water that flows down the ditch when it rains. Although she was soaked they were all happily playing. What a good mom she has been!

Henny Penny already has brought the ducklings out of the nest and has be scratching here and there. They copy everything she does. I put scratch on newspaper and she showed them how to eat it.
