I woke this morning to the first four ducklings. They had finally broken out of their shells. There are a few more that have broken shells but they are still trying to break out.
Lots of peeping going on!

DH took grain to the hen house and discovered that the first duckling had hatched. He quickly moved the kennel into the greenhouse and when I went down a bit later I discovered that four had hatched so far. There are three eggs still in tack but only one looks like a duck egg. [...]

On this very wet and rainy day Henny Penny brought her brood out and let them play in the water that flows down the ditch when it rains. Although she was soaked they were all happily playing. What a good mom she has been!
