Here is Lilly. Her hair is in braids and is made of New Zealand wool. She has the cutest face full of freckles. Under her pinafore are flowered knit leggings and a pink knit jersey. She will be looking for a new home soon.
She is now up on Etsy.

Winter coat and hat, originally uploaded by mabeane6.
Sunday is my day to work on new ideas and patterns.
Yesterday I decided I wanted to make a jacket for the doll and worked at it all afternoon. I made a light pink fleece one with a hat and a black nubby fleece one with a hat for the 16 inch doll.
Today I tweaked the same pattern (my own) and used felt to make the winter duds for this 12 inch doll.

To answer some questions I have had lately. Yes, I do custom dolls.
I have a small cottage industry in my home and make each one individually. I welcome any inquiries (jan@beane.org) about this so fire away. I love creating these special dolls and work on them almost everyday. I have shipped them all over the world and love getting feedback on them.
I make mostly 16 inch dolls because I like their size and feel that kids can dress and undress them more easily.

I have been working on these two dolls since Monday morning. When this one’s wardrobe is finished she will go up for sale.
