New Year’s Eve/Blue Moon

It’s New Year’s Eve and a blue moon to boot. And it hasn’t started snowing here yet.  We have four inches predicted for tonight.  The sky has a grey look and we can smell the mill so something’s coming.  Tomorrow night is another matter.  It could be a LOT!

I have made chicken soup to have tonight and available in case of a power failure.  We’ll just pop it on the wood stove.  I also pulled some frozen homemade Italian bread to go with the soup.  The smells are coming through loud and clear.

DH took a quick, and I mean quick, trip to Bangor.   Left a bit after nine and home before three with tires for his truck and some gifts exchanged with our sweet daughter and family.  I stayed home because the breathing still isn’t right.

I wish you all a Happy New Year 2010!
